  • Inheriting the school’s founding values, the school badge consists of a firefly symbolising the enlightened students, six white bands symbolising progressing grades and moral, and two ears of rice against a green background symbolising a piece of fertile land. The architecture’s façades took inspiration from the school badge, which is transformed into whirling green and white horizontal bands that correspond to natural light.

Radial corridors turn the campus into an endless cloister, joining the students with their studies. Interlaced horizontal bands (corridors) and a stair plaza connect teachers and students, academic and social events as well as light and shadow. The exterior of the architecture is modest and closed, shielding the campus from the interfering eastern and western glares and blocking the noise and vibration from the nearby viaduct.

Through the central atrium, surrounding air vents create a naturally comfortable microclimate. Also, sunlight shines in and creates a sacred atmosphere for learning, whilst the sky brings endless variation to the architecture’s appearance as horizontal bands guide the flow of light with changing times and seasons.
