Two arches villa is located in a calming environment in Damavand, Iran.
The design process of this villa tries to reflect the origins of Iranian architecture from a modern point of view. Inspired by Iranian gardens, we positioned a waterway as a main axis of the site.
All the principles and spatial hierarchy are considered in the design of the plan of this building to provide privacy and comfort of its inhabitants. As well as that, we used a white plane as a form between two arches as a divider of public and private spaces. In order to make a connection between these areas in first floor, we used a bridge as a corridor.
By positioning all the windows toward the main courtyard and the street, we tried to reflect the concept of extroversion and introversion of Iranian architecture in this building. In terms of material, bricks are used as the finishing of the exterior and interior.
