Turkish Airlines Technology Aviation Office Design

TAG Mimarlık-QAT Project

Short description

The new concept which is designed for Turkish Airlines Technology unit is in Istanbul. It consists of 13 floors, two blocks having connections with a bridge, having a total of 22.000 square meters area. Company employees being young and dynamic played an important role in determining the design language and the concept. Thus, design language was built as a colorful, dynamic and transparent technique. Attic includes general management unit and restaurant.
As for the distribution of floors:
Between 5. floor and 1st basement are planned for office usage. Every office floor has resting and sleeping rooms, silent rooms, an atelier, mini kitchen area, meeting area. Since office floors is designed as an open office, they contain acoustic items, cloud panels on tables and fabric panels inside office rooms. Sliding panels that enables employees to make spontaneous meetings and areas with walls which are stickable with notes are designed.
2nd basement floor consists of 14 meeting areas and a dining room. While entitling names of meeting rooms, it was inspired by different cities and their important symbols related to company’s sector. Names of meeting rooms are determined from airlines codes of cities.
On 3rd basement there is a social activity field that employees spend time and a showroom with a capacity of 120 people. Social activity field have mini golf, table tennis, console games and virtual reality areas. In conclusion by designing areas in which company employees will have pleasant times at breaks during working hours, we, as a team, completed this project which had positive feed-back.
