I always admired this structure, designed by Santiago Calatrava. Being a New Yorker, I have passed it many times but have never been to it. This project was a personal project which happened by accident. On a commissioned shoot, I gained access to a high-rise floor at 7 World Trade Center overlooking The Oculus. I captured several shots from up above, an angle that very few people get access to. I ended up going down into The Oculus afterwards and getting some shots of the interior as well. After I started editing, decided to make a series out of it and ended up returning two more times to get some more/unique perspectives.
