Short description
In 2019, Guangyuan, located in the northwestern region of China's Sichuan Province, became a leader in exploring the integration of medical and elderly care services and leveraging the advantages of natural resources. The combination of mountainous terrain and residential communities allowed medical services to become a platform for community engagement, forming a dual-service core with nearby commercial centers to create a cohesive community.
Inspired by the high-end private medical and wellness standards of Switzerland, Guangyuan has incorporated more comprehensive and detailed medical services into traditional medical care. The high-quality hotel management capabilities of Switzerland have also played a key role in this development.
The architecture, with its courtyard design, allows sunlight and fresh air to flow into each floor, while modular spaces make it easy to convert between hospital departments. Each phase of the three-stage development can be developed in a moderate and balanced manner to avoid excessive investment in medical technology in the early stages. This approach has enabled the hospital to create six major disciplinary centers for future development, providing more specialized services.
The open three-story rooftop platform has become the center of a healthy community garden, connecting neighbors and serving the community. Traditional, closed-off medical institutions that once avoided society and instilled fear have now become welcoming places for open citizen activities, offering high-level health services. This open approach to service and space has also brought more customers to the private medical industry.
At the same time, the multi-functional inpatient department is capable of adapting to the diverse spatial requirements of medical care, rehabilitation, and elderly care. This flexibility allows the hospital to easily replace functions according to the realities of each development stage, providing a solid and expansive high-quality space for the hospital's successful operation and growth. It also ensures that these spaces are better suited to future demands for internationalization, networking, and disciplinary centralization.
