The Ritz Pool Bar in Lisbon is part of the renovation project of the Ritz Four Seasons Hotel Lisbon's terrace, which had the purpose of respecting the existing architectural project at that time, in a building of major historical, patrimonial and architectural interest.
With a perfect circular shape, the Pool Bar was conceptually designed to be an aggregating element of the urban resort concept we developed for the terrace. The Pool Bar is itself very organic and natural. Its total openness and extension to the terrace is very welcoming and act as an invitation for people to come in for a drink or a snack while still enjoying the outdoors.
The brown and green terracotta tiles, designed by Openbook and produced by the Viúva Lamego tiles factory, blend in seamlessly with the greenery of the surrounding garden.
The intended conceptual approach was completed with the selection and design of furniture pieces, and a colour connection that highlights and confers unity to the concept. The furniture pieces were custom-made to bring a high level of comfort and elegance to the Pool Bar while respecting the existing architecture and the sophisticated yet relaxed ambience.
The lighting of the space was also carefully thought out, creating a warm atmosphere that is ideal for a quiet, pleasant moment in the evening or even a special event. The lighting fixtures are simple and discreet, yet modern, and were designed to blend in with the architecture.
