LLO House

OOIIO Architecture

Short description

LLO House is the answer to the very special site where is located. The irregular plot where it stands it is close to the mountains near Madrid. Mediterranean trees and bushes mark and color the landscape.
The house composition consists in several volumes, each one pointing to a specific direction, with the intention of framing the landscape.
The core of the house is a double high space, cladded with hand made diamond-shape tiles, where you find the staircase that connects the two floors. The entire house develops by twisting around this space.
The combination of volumes makes the house look different from different angles depending from were you watch it.
So we can say that LLO House is designed as the perfect spot for watching the sourroundings from and also to be watched, revealing different volumetric games, shadows and material combinations progressively by walking around it.
