Hans Georg Esch, born in 1964 in Neuwied, Germany, completed a classic photographic training. Since 1989 he has been working as a freelance architectural photographer for national and international architectural offices. Today he ranks among the most renowned in his field. Alongside commissioned works, Esch has established a wholly unique œuvre of free and independent works, in which he opens up his perspective on the entire city. Esch’s internationally exhibited works and published book series such as “Megacities”, “City and Structure” and “Cities Unknown” have become well-known, as they notably deal with the Asian cultural imprint within present-day boom cities. Esch lives and works in Hennef/Stadt Blankenberg, Germany.
