GardaWorld Head Office

Lemay

Short description

The GardaWorld interior design project, nestled in Montreal's Saint-Laurent borough, exemplifies the seamless integration of spaces to reflect the organization’s mission and values. Guided by a three-fold approach—Objects, Bond, and Brand—the project harmoniously aligns with GardaWorld's security and management services. The new headquarters’ interior design has been carefully curated to strike a harmonious balance between functionality and purpose, where the interplay of spaces-as-objects creates a cohesive and interconnected environment. With a 25% ratio of closed offices to open work areas, the design promotes a dynamic and adaptable work environment that supports productivity and collaboration.

The materiality blends raw architectural elements with concrete, metal, and glass, while a refined palette of red, black, and white distinguishes various rooms—this ensures both privacy and visual consistency throughout the office. These materials and colour palette were carefully curated with the client to further the themes they wanted to permeate the space and create a bond of the various objects: business units. A variety of room types allows the office to respond to a diversity of user needs. From meeting rooms and solo work offices to dojo rooms and a showroom on the ground floor, every design element and material within the spaces embodies Garda's values of power, strength, and unity. Notably, the two prominent red staircases at the entrance serve as powerful visually impactful elements upon arrival, while also promoting movement and well-being in order to align with the project's pursuit of a Fitwel certification.

The interplay of stairs, bridges, corridors, and adjacencies creates a practical and comprehensive space that supports GardaWorld's vision and connects the employees to one another, and to their employer’s brand. The final result is a campus-like environment that promotes confidence and connectivity.
