Farmyard Retreat

Short description
The farm owner built this modern prefab house directly in his existing farmyard for his retirement. In response to its place, the steeply pitched roof and sawn larch boarding offset by each storey are analogous to the surrounding traditional barns that form the courtyard. I carefully considered each composition to communicate a set of contextual, engaging and meaningful images. For the hero shot, I decided to open one of the large barn doors, backup inside and frame the new structure through the opening from one of the old structures.
