Project description
Like most major financial institutions, our client operates a cluster of downtown offices and its executive team is spread throughout these branches, as well as across the country. This central lounge offers higher-ups a luxe spot to meet, to kick back, or to touch down when travelling for business. First class all the way, the space combines custom furnishings (i.e., the high-top tables) with modern icons like Eero Saarinen’s Womb chair and low marble tables, and Eames Aluminum chairs, with all the upholstered pieces in the same vibrant red. Even the lighting – clusters of jaunty pendants dangling from red cords – features a pop of the signature colour. The finishing touch is a variety of paintings, pulled from the client’s incredible art collection. The designers hand-picked pieces featuring tones that complement the red furnishings and blue-grey walls.
