Abu Dhabi Ladies Club

Urbanism Planning Architecture Italia

Project description

The project is a unique club for women including a Clubhouse with restaurant, cafeteria, music school, gym, indoor pool, SPA, boutiques, VIP area, kindergarten and services, outdoor leisure pool, a beach with an artificial lagoon, a Sports Academy building for sports and recreational activities, everything incorporated in a park of 180,000 square meters in the city of Abu Dhabi. The client requested a unique and modern design inspired by feminine items of the local ladies, the flowers and the natural beauty of the plants. These inspirations were the guidelines for designing the masterplan, the park, the main building of the clubhouse and the treatment of the elevations and interior spaces up to the furnishings. The organic architecture of the clubhouse recalls the floral forms in plan: the sinuous forms have generated fluid and unusual spaces that make this architecture highly characterizing. The plant embraces a semi-covered central space with the outdoor swimming pool overlooking the park and the beach. The cladding of the building is in stone, while the floors of the prestigious areas are in Carrara Calacatta marble.
