Nuno Mateus and José Mateus

Nuno Mateus and José Mateus

Partners at ARX Portugal

ARX Portugal was founded in 1991 by José Mateus and Nuno Mateus. Their projects received numberless prizes, mentions and nominations worldwide. ARX architecture doesn't follow a lexicon or a stabilized language. In every new project the aim is to try to find the ``vocables`` for a specific language to the new context.
More than searching for common points between each new project and the previous, the interest is focused more on finding differences. It is as if there was always a return to zero. Evidently this approach also opens up a vast research field. Not having to work within rigid precepts, there is always a search for an experimental path where new concepts are tested.

Aviram Oshri & Dana Kushmirski

Co-founders and Partners

Aviram-Kushmirski is an interior design studio, based in Tel Aviv since 2010.
We believe in “First Concept, then Design”. In-depth, creative thinking precedes the planning and design stage.
Working together as a pair enables us to process the design concept to the optimum and refine it into a unified, taut idea, in which the whole is more than the sum of its individual parts.
Throughout this process, we search for that which is special, without falling into the trap that is the convenient, well known and safe. In each project, our passion for original thinking creates that special difference.
We make unceasing efforts to create a design that is timeless; a design that is creative and innovative; modern and very importantly, relevant to the comfortable style of living in the world of today.
